Prince Rupert Adventure Tours might not go out to Khutzeymateen anymore for this year (they have great whale watching trips now!), but there is still amazing spots around here where you can still see grizzly bears or black bears, or even BOTH! One of the best spots at the moment is Hyder (Alaska), just about 5 to 6 hours drive from here. Head up the Nisga Highway and check out the Lava Bed Provincial Park. Stop at Dash Bistro in Stewart for a snack and then head over to Hyder and observe grizzly bears and black bears (the lucky ones can also spot some wolves here!) fishing for salmon (you will see them as close as just a couple of meters away from you, we promise!). If the weather is good, dont miss going up to the Salmon Glacier. Up for some hiking? Try Titan Trail!
