Princess Agnes Komukyeya, an aunt to Komuntales father, Omukama Patrick David Matthew Olimi Kaboyo II, says the young princess was not prepared well before her marriage in November last year. Princess Komukyeya, who is aged 92, said the marriage was bound to fail, because Komuntale wasn’t prepared for it. The ailing Komukyeya also says Komuntale rushed to get married without seeking the guidance of her aunties. She states that that Komuntale had never introduced Thomas to any of his paternal relatives who would ‘bless’ the marriage apart from her mother. Some senior members of the Royal family have, however, blamed the marriage breakup on the Queen Mother, Best Kemigisa. One of Komuntale’s uncles who preferred anonymity says that months before the young princess announced her marriage to Thomas, they sought audience with Kemigisa to get her views on whether it was appropriate for the daughter to get married at a young age. The uncle says that they advised Kemigisa to tell Komuntale to postpone the wedding for a year or two, but Kemigisa insisted that the wedding will go ahead.
