Princess Benedicta Attoh is currently serving as the scribe Etsako East Local Govt Council, Edo State, Nigeria. Prior, she worked as the Senior Special Asst. on NGOs to the Governor of Edo Sate. She spent over a decade in a country in Europe, where she worked as Development Educ. & Campaigns Officer, of an international development org working to achieve lasting improvements in the quality of life of deprived children in developing countries. She was a Board Member at Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO) and the Refugee Information Service. She was a member of the Board of the Africa Centre and became Chairperson from 2007 to 2008. She also worked with the Simon Community and the De Paul Trust, two major organisations seeking to end homelessness in European countries. She was a Goodwill Ambassador between 2009 and 2010. Benedicta is an international speaker, advocate, social entrepreneur and trainer on Civil Society issues with particular focus on immigrants, Women’s Human Rights, Socio- economic Empowerment and Advancement of Women and Girls. She worked with the National Consultative Committee on Racism & Interculturalism, where she delivered training to Public Officers, Police, etc on diversity management. In 2009, she launched Dreamworld Leadership Initiative for Girls, an educational mentoring and support project for young girls who are placed at a disadvantage because of poverty. The project also recognises and celebrates the contributions and achievements of women who have helped to make a difference in their communities. She holds a BSc and Masters degree and has won several awards. Benedictas ambition, networks and personal experiences have led her on a positive and passionately rewarding journey that is dedicated to working with women and youth from diverse cultures and backgrounds to utilise their potential, achieve positive goals and help build sustainable communities.
