Now compare this to Chomskys pronouncements about the use of force against ISIS. Not illegal, no. As usual, he gets it wrong (so far off in fact that one must assume that he is just looking for attention). I agree that a coalition that doesnt include Iran (and Egypt with troops on the ground) is not going to be very effective (unless the Kurds were given their own state and fully armed). And I agree that the USs policy of mindless interventionism is wrong, wrong, wrong and that it is responsible for a great deal of evil in the world, etc. But the fact that attention is paid to the pronouncements of this poseur continue to mystify. He has no more accurate information than CNN. Though it is an alternative source. And though I agree almost completely with his criticisms of the US media. And though I agree with American Power and the New Mandarins.
