Principles of Naturopathic Medicine First Principle: Do no harm. - TopicsExpress

Principles of Naturopathic Medicine First Principle: Do no harm. No approach, protocol, plan of action or therapy relative to any patient will ever be destructive to them. Second Principle: The Father has designed our bodies with the ability to heal themselves using the nutrients you have ingested through food and other supplements. The bodies require the proper nutrients or natural tools to work with. Third Principle: Discover and treat the cause, not just the effect. Traditional medicines treat the symptom only, providing temporary relief from the symptom alone but typically fails to address the problem that caused the symptom in the first place. So, while the symptom may have been eradicated the causation remains. Naturopathic remedies provide the bodies with what they need to aggressively attack the root of the problem, shoring up the area of physical weakness. Fourth Principle: Treat the whole person. While traditional medicine has a basic singular focus, naturopathic medicine aggressively addresses health and healing on three-fronts - mind, body and spirit, each working hand in hand for the successful re-development and maintenance of a bodily framework, which is conducive to health and perpetual healing. Fifth Principle: A naturopathic doctor is a teacher or educator who imparts information and lets the patient become responsible for his or her own healthcare protocol. Sixth Principle: Prevention and wellness is the best cure. It is much easier to maintain the bodily framework, which essentially means to deal with physical issues that have culminated from failure to provide the body the support it needs in order to successfully do what it was designed to do - live in abundance.
