Prior to the trade tower explosions my wife and I had shipped - TopicsExpress

Prior to the trade tower explosions my wife and I had shipped canines, by air, to locations throughout the U.S.A.. Clients included K9 officers, private individuals and Universal Studios. In the weeks leading up to 9/11/2001 we had been speaking with a Stanton Island firefighter about his interest in purchasing a puppy. Shortly after the event unfolded I attempted to contact the firefighter. After several attempts, contact with his fiancé was made. When we discovered he had survived the explosions we then attempted to ship him a canine as a gift. When I contacted the airlines I encountered what was then a strange and confusing situation. I was informed that I was not a known shipper and could not ship a canine, via airlines. I replied that I had reported to the federal government over 4K in receipts shipping canines the 12 months prior to the event. Their reply was, that did not make me a known shipper. I had failed to complete the proper documentation prior to the event. When I asked how I was supposed to complete it if I did not know it existed, I received an aggravated reply, “Well the documentation forms were available before the event, Sir.” The conversation stopped there. Excuse me for attempting to rationalize!!!!!!! Since that time I have refused to stop rationalizing the facts versus fiction.
