Priorities for TG from my view: 1. Power sufficiency- Take construction of thermal, solar, where feasible Hydro power projects on war footing. Include energy conservation efforts, intensify them. Dont rule out Nuclear power-even though it will take ten to fifteen years to bring a nuclear station power online. All other development will depend on availability power 24-hour uninterrupted power supply. 2. Water- Whoever may form the State Govt. must take up visible development activity that is essential to raise confidence level of people of TG and not go into despair. One such essential activity is-rejuvenation of all cheruvulu/kuntalu. No water body should be left untouched. Put procliners and NREGA work force to work on digging, reclaiming every cheruvu and Kunta including new ones. Even if these arent used for irrigation, they will rejuvenate village life and add to ground water levels. Make it mandatory for each village to do this and provide funds from Govt and demand labor from the Village volunteers, one from each household for two months. When one looks over TG from air, it must be shining with water every few kilo-meters with a cheruvu. 3. Adopt a Policy of distributed development. Relocate or construct new Govt offices, industries, Colleges, Hostels, Hospitals, five star hotels, etc to districts. No more construction of such facilities in Hyderabad. Distributed development leads to over all TG developing and alleviate congestion and loss of quality of life to Hyderabad residents. 4. Improve connectivity of each District headquarters to Hyderabad through four to six lane highways that are well maintained to international standards. Also provide reliable and fast digital connectivity from Districts. That way industry and others wont be hesitant to locate to district head quarters. Water and electricity will reduce pressure on rural people to move to cities and face, miserable lives. Good roads, electricity, water and digital connectivity will incentivize industry to move to districts.
