Privacy? Did you think that social networks exist for entertainment purposes only? Did you know that the US tracks more than five times the population of itself online? Did you know that facebook was basically telling you that they were storing all of your information when you were trying to wipe out your messages and it said YOUR COPY of the message will be deleted? Did you know that there are server rooms where things you post are permanently stored in disks that can be (and are) purchased by larger corporations, and that some of them intentionally do this to circumvent the few restrictions placed to protect who you are? You are living in an era where everything you are, right down to the last cent youre legally worth, is inside a spinning disk, and exposing the problems of other people has become POPULAR. Everything is permanent. What is cool online, is more information that is being gathered. The idiots who endorse embarrassing videos of other people, are the same idiots who are complaining about privacy rights. Everything else the system can find out about you is given away by your very own words. Theyre social NETWORKS. Finding information about people is easy. I can do it. You can do it, and there is more that the officials can do that we cant. You dont go disclosing information that makes you vulnerable to any kind of suspicion. You keep your motives and a later intentions to yourself. Now do you understand why TV is filled with gossip and fights, and everything that is cool on TV is related to gossip and fights, and everything that is cool on the internet is related to gossip and fights? ... and more networks are being created because everyone wants to know whats going on. Its not just the general populace anymore.
