Private message sent 26-1-2014 To the department that does pool inspections. Im writing to you regarding a very large pool on the residence of Walang Drive Napoleon Reef. This pool has no fence around it and there is a young child who resides there on a weekly basis. I know there was a call made regarding this pool and I have also noticed that the call was disregarded by council. When I personally have had complaints and that complaint has been acted on straight away. Im feeling as though the maybe a double standard within your council. The complaint was made last week and another was made on Monday. When will inspectors go and ask these people to secure or remove the pool? The wastage if water. Watering their lawn whilst we are relying on that water system to drink and wash in. The pool gets dirty its just emptied on to the grass. Also an inspection of there septic which smells and leaks down the back of the hill would be appreciated, there have been plumbers and the septic pump removal there and they have been told that it needs a total replacement this is a health hazard to all residents if it rains the water sweeps down into a water way which feeds the valley. I myself was targeted in Ribbon gum place when the pool was in a locked secure court yard and the compliant was made on the same day I received a visit from council. If someone drowns I will be telling the media I did contact you and I will be mentioning how whenever a complaint is made about me, a disabled person who uses a hand saw that council seem to come out the day after or the day of the complaint. The tree preservation act? I was told the act would end in February and we would be able to remove all the damaged trees from the property. We have a building report that states that all the trees close to the house are filled with termites, how am I preserving something that is already being eaten? Also with the complaint I received the property Walang Drive Napoleon reef has been totally removed of trees for a quarry exploration. This was without any permission. We brought here under the impression that this was a council tree change development? Im confused as to why I have been targeted trimming branches, doing what the adverts say to prepare my property for fires to be harassed by council. The email I received was rather rude and rather blunt. And didnt answer any questions, it was when I mentioned the Theobald quarry on Baldy Hill that caused what I would refer to as I have hit a nerve. If council wish to enforce laws and council regulations they have to do it for all not just target one resident. During recent storms trees next to my house are splitting and rotten, I have decided to spend money on a tree specialist to advise me what trees should be removed so we dont have termites eat our house out. This will void my insurance. We have received the paper work and application for tree removal, I will be asking environmental services to inspect these trees which is not what your council inspector did. As I said the email I received was very rude. I hope that the inspector finds the time to sort this pool out and also the septic it stinks. Also a mention of water wastage would help as this person seems to think we run off the town water system. Thank you I hope you sort this double standard inspections your council does if the rules exist for one they should exist for all. Would you agree?
