Priyanka Gandhi claims that her father has sacrificed his life for the unity of the nation. The Gandhis have the habit of making a virtue out of their mistakes. It was the appeasement politics of late Mrs. Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi and their divide and rule policy that encouraged extremist forces to begin with. Then those forces became too big for them to control and went rouge. The Congress used the Indian army to settle scores with these rouge elements. The fanatics among them took revenge of the so called atrocities of the armed forces by killing them. It was no sacrifice but a price they paid for their policies. The Gandhis never remember the soldiers who lost their lives in operation Bluestar and the IPKF mission in Sri Lanka to rectify the mistakes of their father and grandmother. It feels sad to criticize the dead but this continuous charade of sacrifice needs to be countered.
