Pro Soccer in Hartford... There is a lot of talk about Pro Soccer coming to Hartford and Dillon being converted into this great venue. Hartford to date has been a dead soccer city and has been for some 25 years or for that matter 200 years. The demographics are against it, with a huge Puerto Rican population. That community is full of good hard working people but guess what, they follow baseball, minor league at that, and they could care very little about soccer. The big clubs, Oakwood, FSA, Sporting, and CFC (and CFC the biggest of the clubs can not even get 200 people to a game on a regular basis) for the most part are very inclusive. There are the supposed supporter groups like the outlaws and a few others, but they would be lucky to muster 50 people or maybe 200 a game and thats pushing it and many in those groups spend more time hating then loving. How long did the Conneticut Wolves last??or even the Azul for that matter moved out to Danbury (great venue as we were there today). Its all fantasy girls as even if a team comes in, drops millions on Dillion, they will be gone within a year..But we cant blame you for trying and it would be great to see happen and we hope somehow that it does, but it is highly doubtful. Keep up the fight.
