Probably gonna step on toes but If you know me, you know I really dont care. If its the truth, its the truth. I get so tired of hearing people say The Lord knows my heart...I dont have to come to church to be a Christian....church is full of hypocrites and sinners anyways....well you know what....church DOESNT get you to Heaven but let me tell you something....if you dont surround yourself with other Christians, which by the way are ALL sinners, others that believe the Good Book, then you my friend are slipping right into the realms of this hateful socialized world. Society has us believing so many things that are just PLAIN RIDICULOUS! And those of you that sit and wallow in your own self pity are just sad. One day you will wake up and realize exactly what you missed. ANYBODY can get behind a computer screen and comment how much they love someone or what kind of person they are but its like the song goes, You know, your walk talks, and your talk talks But your walk talks louder than your talk talks Your behavior toward your neighbor Is really how you feel about the Savior When you exemplify and shine the Light of Christ You know the number in the kingdom will be multiplied Yes, your walk talks, and your talk talks, But your walk talks louder than your talk talks. How you live your life – your walk – speaks more loudly and clearly to others than anything you would say verbally. I can recount many sermons in my head from Bro. Randy Bridges saying something along the lines of true enough church isnt what is going to get you to heaven nor is your good works but what are you losing by coming to church surrounding yourself with fellow believers? The church is a work in progress and so are its members! Always remember that!! Christianity does not stand or fall on the way Christians have acted throughout the years or are acting in todays society. Christianity stands or falls on the person of Jesus, and Jesus was NOT a hypocrite. He lived NIGHT AND DAY with what He taught, and at the end of His life, He challenged those who had lived with Him night and day, for over three years, to point out ANY hypocrisy in Him. His disciples were silent, because there was none. Since Christianity depends on Jesus, it is incorrect to try to contradict the Christian faith by pointing to unspeakable things done in the name of Christianity. And touching on another subject, I dont need approval or validation from others as to what type of parent I am. When I say I love my children with all of my heart I dont just type those words. I truly mean it. Granted Im not the perfect parent but by gosh I dont seek approval from others when it comes to my children. I dont seek attention from others either. I am not one way here and another somewhere else or in real life. I dont care how old my children are, as long as they are trying and giving Tommy and I the respect we deserve as the parents we are, we will always do our very best to help them in any way we can. Loving them isnt buying them everything they want just to get them out of your hair or to shut up but yet giving them and SHOWING them the love they so desperately deserve and need. Do you know how many times Ive left Walmart with screaming children because they didnt get what they wanted....every time I go someone is mad. Do I care? No but that doesnt mean I dont love them. My love nor Tommys is exuberated through gifts or money. Its through our heart. Oh and partiality does NOT exist in our home....and believe me, if you do show partiality, kids recognize it. They didnt fall off of the turnip truck yesterday. Our kids are our kids....we dont ask everyone to love them. They have all of the love they need right here under this roof but if we do let you inside their hearts, we do ask that you treat them all the same and love them every day not just when its convenient for you....This is a concern and hurt I hear from too many other parents as well so I know we arent alone. And before everyone starts wrecking havoc on one another and blowing up my phone or each others inboxes, I am speaking of no one particular person or persons just what has been on my heart for a while and an older, wiser customer of mine that I respect dearly witnessed this to me last night. Happy Sunday everyone and if you dont have a church, come join us at FRENCH CAMP BAPTIST!!! Sunday school at 10 and morning worship at 11!
