Probably the best explanation for gravity (not the movie) there ever could be. It is not correct to say that there is no gravity in space. Every object in space has gravity but it needs to be turned on. Initially, earth did not have gravity either, which is why as the mass of dinosaurs increased, they just floated away into space. Eventually, humans populated the earth and Sir Isaac Newton managed to find the equation to activate gravity, which is an irreversible reaction achieved by hitting the Center of Gravity of a body. This allowed us to create larger and taller buildings, and achieve the level of civilization we have today. Several attempts were made to activate gravity on moon. The USSR attempted it with Yuri Gagarin, but the expedition failed before he could turn the switch. Even dogs and monkeys were sent in an attempt to hit the Center of Gravity of the moon, the single point switch that activates gravity. Finally, Neil Armstrong managed to activate moons gravity by hitting at the Center of Gravity with the American flag.
