Probably the high point of Pride today was when I slipped off to my out-of-town friends apartment, stripped out of my sweaty costume, and spent an hour playing with her cat, drinking her beer and reading her New Yorkers. I had offered to visit the cat, but I am glad her friends who were charged with feeding her did not stop in since in my experience the naked-drag-stranger surprise is at best awkward to explain.
