Probably the most exciting day of my teens! I was on my first holiday in Nelson Bay and as mum drove past the Marina Resort, I looked out of my window and saw Chuck and Ron sitting on the grass. I screamed and grabbed mums arm (which nearly sent her crashing into the back of a boat parked on the road!). We drove around the block and she let me out to go and say hi. They invited me to sit down and as we chatted, Brian came back and they invited me in for a drink. After a glass of coke, autographs and a kiss on the cheek, I got up to leave. Brian asked if I was going to the show that night but I said I was only 16. Mum decided to let me go if chaperoned so I convinced my brothers best mate to come with me. Mum said it was a shame that I didnt get any photos so I got ready and we went down early to their rehearsal. They were all really friendly and Brian slung his arm around my shoulder and walked me around to meet everyone. Then he got us all out onto the balcony for photos. The concert was awesome and I was at the front the whole time; Brian even held my hand during 50 Years - I thought Id died and gone to heaven !!! Oh happy, happy day 😊
