Probably the only thing I dislike about Parasyte is how annoying the majority of the female characters are. Dont jump into assuming that Im upset that there arent enough empowered females--thats not my issue. Theyre just so....STUPID! I mean, COME ON! Have some common sense! (Ill try not to spoil things too much) Glasses girl: Oh, I like this guy, hes so hot! ...WAIT, no, hes probably a murderer. Maybe I should talk to him and ask him if hes a murderer and convince him not to kill anymore even though Im of no significance to him....CRAP, I DONE SCREWED UP! Perceptive, dreamy-eyed girl: Oh my god, I keep having white-knight dreams of this hunk, hes so dreamy. Im going to ignore my better judgment of character and pursue him even though I know this other girl likes him and has a more solid relationship with him. Minor gossip girl with a scrunchy, SO THIS GUY IS HOT, AND YOU LIKE HIM, RIGHT? I LIKE THIS GUY! HES CUTE TOO! Aside from the main love interest (gentle, soft-spoken but intuitive) the main characters mother (caring, maternal), and the main female antagonist (cunning, cold and purely analytical), ALL these other girls are just written to be so dense and one-dimensional! In fact, Im pretty sure with the glasses girl, ALL KINDS OF BULLCRAP could have been avoided if she hadnt been so blatantly stupid with her actions and NOT confronted the freakish murderer with the question, Yo, are you a freakish murderer? (at least she had a clever plan that played out to his demise but still, she could have saved herself the trouble of nearly dying in the first place but whatever. Her actions cost the lives of 17 victims. Idiot.)
