Problems faced by The FILM COMMITTEE this year: 1) No reels are available in the market as all the theaters are digitalized. The Film committee is giving a chance to all NITWians, to help us regarding this issue... if you have any contact with distributor(s), please do inform us. 2) At times you might have experienced cancellation/suspension of movies. Reasons for this are: - delay in receiving reels on promised time and date from the distributors.– suspension of movies by chief warden and dean of academics due to reasons which cant be disclosed (Apologies for that) – Once, there was a raid in college regarding Attarintiki Daredi movie, we had to cancel the movie as it was screened using a laptop. 3) Audio problems: The reels we obtain have been screened many times beforehand and now-a-days we dont get reels with ultra clarity . About yesterday, the movie wasn’t cancelled. After the commencement of the movie, the following problems were encountered. It was screened using Tata sky but we had a power interruption. And we came to know that, the fuse which links the supply to the auditorium had failed and couldn’t be repaired on time... even the people in-charge of the generator didn’t show up on time. Since, Tata sky people can’t pause the movie for us, it was decided to suspend the show rather than to continuing it just for the last 20 minutes... __________________________________________________________ And lastly you may ask why there is no digitalization in college. Well, the bright side is that the process has been started earlier this year. We are waiting for the approval of the dean.
