Procurement Analyst | Global Mining company A Global Mining company is looking to recruit a Procurement Analyst to be based in Lusaka. Reporting to the Administration and Finance Manager, you will be responsible for negotiating purchases of contracts for works, services and materials at the national and international market and propose according to the mine’s norms and procedures rationalization of routines and processes. Your duties will include: ensuring materials and services vital to the organization are available, participating in the preparation of planning the demand for goods and services, issuing of payment certificates and measuring of contract, issuing of monthly reports for Purchase orders and contracts, liasing with the finance department, travelling nationally and internationally to better understand installation and productive process of the suppliers, searching and prequalifying new suppliers, contributing to benchmarking and continous improvement, in addition to ensuring the reliability of demand planning to the real needs of users through critical analysis of the profile of materials/ services collected. To be considered for this position you must have a degree in Engineering, Project Management or any other Sciences with a minimum of 2 years experience in Procurement. You must also possess excellent communication skills, good interpersonal skills, planning skills as well as the ability to think critically. Closing date: Thursday 20th June 2013. Ref W1060.
