Procurement Engineer- Karachi Job Summary A – Provision of local supplies including spare parts, raw material, supplies & off the shelve item for smooth running of plant & related department. B - Fabrication / Manufacturing of machines parts through local venders C - Civil construction jobs, annual service / maintenance contracts etc Responsibilities: Conscious efforts to purchase material at most competitive price. Timely availability of material to factory Improve supplier services and reliability & wherever possible build up new suppliers. Ensure quality of product being supplied Co-ordination with user department for solving issues related PR’s Billing & Approvals. Follow up of rejection material with concerned departments Outdoor sourcing of material / follow up with suppliers / visiting their premises To implement company’s Purchasing Strategy Purchasing of all imported raw material based on the production plans. To develop new vendors for non proprietary items To assist department head in price negotiations with vendors To assist department head in vendor management and performance monitoring Provide analysis enabling negotiation for purchase of goods and services Understanding company purchasing policy & ensuring that 100% compliance is observed, Coordination with Finance Department for timely payment to vendors after submission of invoice. To facilitate production department in their electrical and mechanical maintenance of machines.
