Product Review!! Stihl MSA 160T. Thanks to Ben down at Pakenham Stihl I currently have this 160 top handle battery saw on demo. Leaving the ego out (that preferences 2 strokes for most) this saw is pretty good. First its very well balanced in its current configuration both north south and east west. Its hard to tell how much battery life youd get cutting full time but I imagine maybe an hour?? Charge time is about the same from flat with the middle of the road charger. The 1/4 picco chain when sharp is lethal to anything it touches (that would include human flesh, make no mistake this aint no toy). With the 10 inch bar and the torque of the 36V motor it glides through both green softwoods and manki dry hardwoods just the same. I enjoyed the serenity between cuts but made sure the chain brake was always on as this is essentially the only block between chain running and not once the trigger is engaged. Im using it over the next week and will add more. All up at the moment 7.5/10 (y)
