Productive afternoon on the shoulder of Scyene west bound towards I635 by the railroad. It was a little more daunting than we expected--there were a lot of bigger pieces of trash that we wouldnt have had room for--but I feel like we made some progress on about a 40-50 yard stretch. Im very grateful to the young men Bryson Anthamatten and DeAndre Bates who worked along side by side with me. We will try and schedule some more times with more volunteers and get that area looking better. Im very convicted that addressing such issues help keep the blight look away from our older suburb and we dont want outsiders visiting our city seeing all that trash.
