Prof Dipankar Gupta starts his article in todays Times of India with a FALSEHOOD. He says, EVERY religion asserts that truth is its sole monopoly. I am no authority to comment on other religions, but this is certainly not true about HINDUISM. Hinduism not only allows, but actually encourages one to seek truth from all sources. It provides for utmost freedom of thought. In Hinduism, a believer, an atheist, and an agnostic can happily co-exist. A Hindu will never try to convert a person from another religion to Hinduism because Hindus believe that different religions are just different ways to discover the TRUTH.
