Profesional Political Courtesy: Over the years I have seen some friendships compromised because differences of opinons on who should or who shouldnt be supported in a particular political race. We all have the right to choose who we feel more comfortable with as our representative based on their platform, education on the issues, past record, integrity and many times simply friendship. I have learned to respect all candidates running at any given time because it takes a lot of personal sacrifice and confidence to run for an elected office. Whether you support or vote for a particular candidate win or loose they will eventually be your representative and the relationship doesnt need to be strained because you didnt vote for them or of a heated mud slinging campaign of the past, life and the business of the city continues. Some people call being cordial to all candidates as riding the fence but I call it making sense! Respect goes a long way. You can make it clear who you support or keep it to yourself its your right but in the end the state of the city must be the benefactor! Life is full of many choices but we only experience a few true friends in that lifetime, cherish it, politics will be here long after our short time on this earth!
