Professional Blues Guitar and Harmonica Workshop / 19.04.14 - 26.04.14 Tribalj / Croatia Over the course of this unique and exceptional workshop set in the scenic surroundings of Tribalj / Croatia, Hohner sponsored blues guitarist Peter Crow C and harmonica player Marko Jovanovic will show you how to create successful and authentic interplay between guitar and harmonica. The workshop will be conducted in two parts. In the first sessions guitarists and harmonica players will work separately and in the second sessions together in small groups. Taking into account each individuals playing ability and within the context of songs each guitarist will be introduced to the essential finger-picking techniques such as slide, thumb rolls and alternating bass etc. Peter will prepare guitarists musically for playing together and interacting in a duo situation with the harmonica. Harmonica players will learn about improvisation, song structure and melodic playing and Marko will give you the all important tips on how to provide rhythmical accompaniment for the guitar. In the second segment you will come together in small groups to practice and further explore everything you have learned. The focus in this segment will be on performing the songs together, listening and feeling the music. Marko and Peter will be there along the way to give you tips and helpful exercises for further developing your performing skills. The workshop is suitable for both beginners, intermediate and advanced players. We can all learn from each other.
