Professional Quantity Surveying Subject: QUANTITY SURVEYOR X 2 – SAUDI ARABIA PLANNING ENGINEER X 2 – SAUDI ARABIA Barrie Davies posted a job: QUANTITY SURVEYOR X 2 – SAUDI ARABIA PLANNING ENGINEER X 2 – SAUDI ARABIA "All roles At least 10 years PGE and 6 years PGE quantity surveying or cost/engineering environment. That experience will ideally be diverse and must include time with a contractor encompassing both large scale engineering, infrastructure and construction projects particularly those executed under EPC style contracts. Ideally part of a candidates experience should have been spent with a specialist claims consultancy. Candidates must be capable of working both independently and as a team leader and be able to fully analyse complex issues and identify an appropriate course of action. Previous overseas experience desired but not essential. A first degree in quantity surveying or engineering or project management and/or a post graduate qualification in construction law or arbitration plus ideally membership of an appropriate professional institution. Applicants for these roles must be able to demonstrate the following skills; QUANTITY SURVEYORS Essential Skills o Methodical way of thinking o Good knowledge of construction o Excellent problem solving skills o Good financial and numeracy management skills o Excellent communication skills o The ability to absorb complex information and assess requirements readily o Computer literate o Good analytical, written, and oral communication skills. o First class quantum skills particular the preparation of complex final accounts. o Hands on experience in dealing with commercial aspects of the construction process. Desired Skills but not essential. o Extensive experience of claim preparation particularly disruption claims. o Solid experience of the commonly used forms of contract. o Experience of international arbitration. PLANNING ENGINEERS Essential Skills o Experience of identifying and assessing delay in construction projects. o Experience of producing and delivering construction delay analysis reports for contractors. o Understanding of the commonly used delay analysis techniques and the ability to communicate the finding of the analysis both in the written form and graphically in a clear concise way. o Fully conversant with Primavera P3 and P6 o Fully conversant with Primavera P3 and P6 o Methodical way of thinking o Good knowledge of construction o Excellent problem solving skills o Excellent communication skills o The ability to absorb complex information and assess requirements readily o Computer literate o Good analytical, written, and oral communication skills. General The position offers an extremely generous package which includes basic salary, bonus, accommodation, transport, and rotation leave.
