Professor Jega the INEC chairman has said that its institution data base cannot be accessed on the internet. And that its data cannot be hacked unless there is a compromise and collaboration by some unscrupulous members of its staff. He also stressed the point, its possibility is very remote. On card cloning, he also dismissed the thought of someone or group of persons trying to use a cloned card to vote on the February 14 general elections, owing to the availability of the biometric card reader. This therefore means that the DSSs allegation that APC officials were trying to clone the permanent voters card (PVC). Is unfounded and unprofessional. It is unfortunate that the DSS should be the least expected government institution that should be politicized in this manner.
