Professor: Why do we shout in anger? Why do people shout at each other when they are upset? Student: Because we lose our calm. Professor: But why shout when the other person is just next to you? Isnt it possible to speak to him or her with a soft voice? When two people are angry at each other, shouting creates a rift in their hearts. To cover the distance, they must shout to be able to hear each other. The angrier they are,the stronger they will shout to hear each other through that great distance. What happens when two people fall in love? They dont shout at each other but talk softly. Why? Because there is no gap as yet between them psychologically. If they are close, respectful & in love, they will be gentle and at times only whidper. Sometimes, just looking at each other is sufficient. So the next time you shout at a loved one, or at anyone, know that you are creating a rift between your heart and that person’s heart. The scriptures say A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger !(-Proverbs) Keep it easy. Be gentle. People who are hurting, hurt others. Get healed by forgiving. Receive your own forgiveness. You will not cause pain or.... cause a crack. Breathe in, breathe out ! -(modified)
