Professor of Government at Oxford, Vernon Bogdanor, once said It is clear that there is a conflict between these two constitutional principles, the sovereignty of Parliament and the rule of law. A conflict which if not resolved could generate a constitutional crisis. With recent Bills passed in the Parliament over the last five years, God knows how many constitutional crisis Bangladesh would have to confront; Only if the Judiciary was independent and free from bureaucracy.
