Progress for farm animals is squarely in the mainstream, with HSUS and HSI making gains with the biggest multinational food companies and food producers – from Nestle to Starbucks to Tyson to Cargill and Smithfield. It was also a year where we fended off nearly a dozen ag-gag bills and the King amendment, while also making progress on our Meatless Mondays campaign in school systems throughout the nation and in making progress to ban gestation crates in some of the biggest countries in the world, including Brazil and Canada. Protecting farm animals is a priority, and our practical gains reflect that commitment.
