Progress update on relief work in J&K: Ritinjali has been collecting relief material and donations to support the relief work being carried out in J&K for the past one month. Through generous donations and contributions, we have been able to send out over a 100 cartons of material including clothes, blankets, medicines and food material to the Rajbagh area in Kashmir. Aliza Khan, a student from Vasant Valley School and her family have helped us with the distribution of relief material on the ground. In the first phase, Faisel Patel and Zaineb Nadeo Patel who were in Srinagar through September coordinated the pickup and distribution of supplies from the airport to affected areas. For the coming few weeks, Ms. Shahala Sheikh will be working with us from Rajbagh. We have begun the second phase of the relief efforts where numerous cartons of food supplies, clothes, blankets and medical supplies have been collected at our centres to be sent out in the coming weeks. A big thanks to Blossoms School -Meerut, New Era Public School, Mayapuri, Aircel, Population Foundation of India, Hero Group , Indigo Airlines, Shakti Foundation, and individual donors for their generous contribution and for sending in volunteers to help us sort the materials.
