Some lessons are painful, some are painless... but, all are priceless. ~ Author Unknown Here you were, just driving along with your golf clubs. Here you were, living in the moment, happy with all life had to offer. I have learned many things from my time with you. I will admit, I was not a good student, I did not learn many of the lessons you taught me until after I lost you. I am just beginning to learn the value of living in the moment. Learning from the past and planning for the future are just not as important as embracing the present. I have learned a painful lesson that the past is gone and the future is not promised to any of us. Perhaps that is one of the most valuable lessons that I have learned as I try to cope with losing you. Oddly enough, I have found many things to be grateful for in your passing. Maybe it is just a way to help me cope. I am grateful that you knew you were loved. I am grateful that you were at peace. I am grateful that you were happy. While I recognize that I will never be the same after losing someone as special as you, I am grateful that I had someone so special to lose, and that lesson has proven to be priceless.
