Project Concern International- Vacancies 1. Village Savings and Loans Advisor – Project Concern International (PCI) Reporting to the Deputy Chief of Party, develop detailed VSL strategy, approaches and relevant tools based on (Njira strategy, theory of change, pathways, approaches); Develop mobilisation approach to promote VSL based on PCI’s WE Initiative and best practices for a rapid start up of VSL groups; Develop a road map for VSL sector; Develop “wealth generation plans” for women through participation in VSL and micro-enterprises and standard operation guidelines on all aspects of VSL implementation; Train and build the capacity of field team members and set up the VSL Management Information System 2. Livestock Advisor – Project Concern International (PCI) Reporting to the DCop, the Livestock Advisor will develop standard operating guidelines for field staff use for managing goat rearing, pigeons, backyard poultry, poultry as a business and aquaculture; Develop detailed livestock strategies, approaches and relevant tools based on theory of change, pathways, and approaches for livestock interventions; Determine how the interventions will increase income and improve nutrition of ultra-poor and poor within a timeframe; Improve fodder capacity in the communities and identify potential negative environmental impact and solutions; Train and build the capacity of field team members in livestock approaches; Support development of a MIS for livestock and identify actions that will help to increase efficiency of agriculture implementation; Develop a strategy to link with the private sector input providers and develop a marketing strategy; Identify linkages with GoM and provide technical support in all aspects of livestock including establishing appropriate livestock groups and training communities in environmental issues 3. Disaster Risk Recovery (DRR) Advisor – Project Concern International (PCI) Reporting to the DCop, the DRR Advisor must be able to develop standard operating guidelines for field staff use for approaches in DRR including responsibility for developing and implementing risk reduction activities in the targeted communities with the following: leading and guiding the community infrastructure linked to disaster risk reduction: protecting people’s livelihoods from predictable shocks: assisting vulnerable people in their own self-protection against hazards; supporting community organisation to collectively prevent or mitigate disaster; engaging District authorities to harmonise disaster risk reduction activities. Mobilise and engage selected communities in disaster risk reduction to develop community and disaster specific sustainable solutions that can receive short-term support by the project and long term support by the project and long-term support from others including developing early warning systems.
