Project Controls Team Lead sought by US-based global EPC/M organization for large Middle East urban development projects: THE JOB: Prepare area project controls plans for Middle East urban infrastructure projects, supervise mid-level project controls professionals. Specific Duties include: Direct Area Project Control activities. Develop, interpret and execute policy, objectives, and standards applicable to cost and schedule control and analysis activities. Review and approve to the Project Controls Manager Earned Revenue Determination Data, Proposal Financial Summaries, Project Financial Status Reports, and Change for Project Work calculations for assigned projects. Review contract drafts for adequate cost and scope definition, meeting Project Controls requirements. Coordinate development of all data in support of negotiations. Plan staffing needs. Participate in development/training and in the implementation of on-the-job and classroom training programs. Conduct performance reviews and career counseling. QUALIFICATIONS: Fully accredited 4 year degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management. Minimum fifteen (15) years in Engineering and Construction Industry. Knowledgeable regarding Buildings and Inter-related systems for their operation including review of construction related drawings and their interface with other projects. High degree of technical skill and experience in cost engineering, cost estimating, cost analysis & control, planning & scheduling, maintenance, monitoring, impact identification, recovery plan development, and staff planning. Demonstrated skill identifying, analyzing, and providing innovative solutions to cost engineering, cost analysis & control, and planning & scheduling problems. Adept in preparation and presentation of on-project estimates and cost forecasts. Advanced working knowledge of Primavera P6 to plan, organize, review and develop complex EPC schedules. Proficient in CPM scheduling, resource loading and leveling. US, Australian or Canadian passport THE PROJECT: We are the authorized US recruiters for this organization. This is a long-term project position with a US-based global EPCM organization on a Middle-Eastern city infrastructure expansion project. The project includes expansion of an industrial port, pipeline refurbishment, increasing capacity of the cooling system, neighborhood planning and expansion, and new desalination plants. 24 month contract, 5.5 day workweek with overtime paid and 3 annual turnarounds.
