Project Coordinator- Accounts Location Port Elizabeth Sector Finance Package Negotiable CTC Description A diverse and growing FMCG Manufacturing concern is looking to fill the role of Project Coordinator in Port Elizabeth. •Coordinates activities between other business units that directly impact the FSS environment and manages the necessary change management activities. •Coordinating the implementation of global and regional projects and FSS activities. •Completes status reports on projects and highlights required interventions. •Manage activities related to further roll outs/ changes/improvements identified for assigned projects •Drives the development of efficient reports and thereafter owns the execution and compilation thereof. •Drives harmonization within FSS & provides suggestions on how to better leverage resources to minimize inefficiencies. •Is the interface to other FSS stakeholders and will need to shares knowledge and best practices with them. (local and regional). •Ensuring business continuity by working closely with each area lead to look for synergies and resource succession / cross skilling across the team. •Perform duties of vendor master data key user. •Knows the ethical and legal compliance responsibilities of the position; raise questions and concerns when faced with an ethical or compliance issue; apply integrity in all aspects of professional conduct. Essential attributes/skills: •Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, pro-activity and ability to work on own initiative •Strength of character and tenacious approach to ensure timely resolution •Ability to work effectively in an international and cross functional environment •Good team player •Analytical, precise and well organized •Strong systems skills: SAP R3, Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point etc) •Outstanding Excel literacy •Organization of own work and the ability to gain the cooperation of colleagues in other departments in order to meet priorities and deadlines Experience •Proven priority and time management skills •Understanding of all major Finance processes •Good understanding of US GAAP, SOX and legal/ local regulations for accounts reporting and exchange controls regulation •Excellent understanding and knowledge of ERP applications (preferable SAP) •Experience working in Accounting min. 3 years •Experience working in other business area (Sales or Procurement) •Experience with Lean Six Sigma or CI methodology concept •Project management experience is an advantage •Experience working in SSC environment within a large international environment for 3-5 years •Experience in coordinating team min 1 year.
