Project Managers (Working experience of EAF & CCM)... Global Engineering Recruitment are currently looking to recruit experienced Project Managers for full time permanent positions to be based in Romania with worldwide travel to sites and particular emphasis on Nigeria. Candidates must have a Degree in Metallurgical /Mechanical Engineering KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES To supervise and monitor the total project activities complying with local rules & regulations Obtaining the approvals & permits for the project activities. Supervise, manage, coordinate and control the site activities of the Project Team and supply Contractor Ensure adherence or improvement to the project time schedule Identification and management of project risks Ensure that satisfactory safety standards and safe working practices are adhered to Ensure that appropriate quality standards are implemented and adhered to Attend regular progress review meetings to facilitate the production of regular progress reports. Maintains current working knowledge of applicable State and local regulations Maintain surveillance of all project activities and where necessary initiate corrective actions in conjunction with the plant engineers to meet the projects objectives. Ensure compliance with the Technical Specification and Performance criteria during design, installation and operation of the Plant. Evaluates and administers contracts with vendors for the provision of services and equipment Technical requirements: Working experience of EAF & CCM (Knowledge of Rolling Mill shall be an added advantage) Experience of managing at least one steel plant project as the head from concept to commissioning. Experience of producing popular re-bar steel grades applicable in Romania Knowledge about the quality issues in billets & defects appearing in the finished products arising out of the same. To have full information about the Romanian rules & regulations for steel plant activities To know about the required performance tests & testing procedures applicable for steel plant projects.
