Project Updates: Fence work has begun at the former ConAgra property in order to cordon off the eastern side, as the terrain is potentially unsafe. Work should be completed very soon. Once the work is completed, the new walking path will officially be open to the public! Cleanup work at the former Showboat property began this spring. The inland portion of the property has been leveled and resurfaced to provide a temporary parking lot while work for total site remediation continues. The City is currently devising the engineering plans for site remediation, which would include construction a new sheet-wall, as well as potential for a perimeter walking path. The timeline for this project is dependent upon the permitting process for those agencies with oversight on the project.
