Projectsave Devotional Thursday, 14th, Aug 2014. THE PRAYER OF NEHEMIAH Neh4:4- Then I prayed, “Hear us, our God, for we are being mocked. May their scoffing fall back on their own heads, and may they themselves become captives in a foreign land! Nehemiah was rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem during the time when they were taken as captives to a foreign land. While the work was going on, there were mockers who freely volunteered to discourage and de-motivate him, then he prayed the prayer in the opening text. I want you to know that youre Gods project in progress, it is not always easy when God is working on you because the progress of the project attracts mockers. Mockers are stationed on our path to de-motivate us, discourage us and make us quit. The best way to win the war against mockery is to be prayerful and to ignore them. Mockers show-up at the edge of breakthrough, it is normal to have them around but brace-up like Nehemiah&confront them in prayer. PRAYER:- May my mockers receive double shame for their mockery&may Gods glory manifest in my life In Jesus name.
