Prominent Uzbek Sheikh assassinated in Turkey On 13/12/14, Abdullah Bukhari, a 38 year old sheikh from Uzbekistan who left Uzbekistan in 2006 to reside in Istanbul due to persecution, was shot and killed in daylight as he was entering the religious institution where he delivered regular classes. Sheikh Bukhari has received numerous death threats due to his activism, but despite that he continued to carry the dawah and run numerous Islamic classes in the religious institution in Istanbul. The killer who was arrested by Turkish authorities is of Russian background. This came after Karimov, the tyrant of Uzbekistan, met with Putin on 10/12/14, and requested his assistance in fighting extremism. May Allah accept Sheikh Bukhari in the ranks of the martyrs and grant him Jannat al-Firdaus.
