Promise #1 – When you go through tough times, God promises: To care for you… “And why worry about your clothes? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. And if God cares so wonderfully for flowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, He will certainly care for you.” –Matthew 6:28-30 (NLT) Thought: Life is filled with all kinds of worries. Paying a bill on time…water leak underneath the sink…car problems…too many birthday parties to attend…mortgage…health…kid’s homework….appointments…uuuughhh! Though we can get caught in the whirlwind of life, the good news is, it does not change the way God cares for you. He cares for you so much, that He will go to the greatest heights and depths, so that you are taken care of. Just think about it. How far did Jesus Christ go to make sure your greatest need was taken care of? Face it…He cares for you! Prayer Focus: Ask God to open your eyes to all the ways He cares for you. Pray that all your loved ones in and out of the church will also have this revelation. And once He has opened your eyes, thank Him for how good He is!
