Promises Of God 7913 Exodus 6:7 I will take you as My people, and I will be your God. Then you shall know that I am the LORD your God who brings you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians. This promise could be construed as only for the Jewish people. In reading this I am so encouraged because this is for Jews and Gentiles in Christ Jesus alike. “You might say but how is this possible?” This was God speaking through Moses to the Israelites, how does this include the Christian? This was written way before Christ appeared on the seen in the flesh. When we repented of our sin and have faith and believed that the blood of Christ on the cross is our debt payment for our sin, and that He arose again 3 days later that we may have………(Now this is were His promise ties us to the covenant God has with His people) “eternal salvation with the father.” You see we are now His adopted, and that gives us the same right to the covenant as His people. Adoption in the Jewish faith, is as strong as being in the blood line. So when God is saying; “He will take you as My People and I will be your God.” He means it. He goes on to say then you shall know that I am the LORD! This is the same LORD that delivered His people from the oppressors of Egypt, He separated the Red Sea, so that His people could pass through on dry land. He crushed their oppressors and caused the Red Sea to come crashing down on their heads. “the God who brings you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.” Ask God to identify your oppressor, and ask God to part the read sea so that you may pass through to the promise land which He has promised you as His inheritance. Thank You for the privilege of being able to read Your Word, I pray that I would speak Your testimony boldly and give hope to generations after me. Hide me behind Your cross today and fill me up with the Holy Spirit. I pray my words today are not mine but the words of my Intercessor, Your Son Jesus Christ. Show me my oppressor which is keeping me from the promise land Father, what ever that promise land is for me today or for generations to come. Show me so that I may be able to come to You and ask You for Your wisdom, power, strength, and perseverance to over come the oppressor. Keep me from growing faint, weary or being fear full; because Your word tells me that You are my God. You will separate the Red Sea and I will pass through to the promise land, which You have promised me. Let the Red Sea crush down on the head of the oppressor. Victory is at hand You are my God! Thank You Father for answering these petitions today, I give You all praise honor, and glory due to You. For You alone are worthy to be praise. We ask all of these things in the wonderful and precious name of Your Son Jesus Christ my Savior Your Son! Amen!
