Promising news is so much better than sad news, and I would like to update everyone on BeBes progress after six months of being diagnosed with immune mediated hemolytic anemia or IMHA. Her red blood count or PCV is at 44 which is in normal range. We are weaning her slowly off of her steroids and immune suppressants. We hope that she will not relapse and will remain in remission as long as possible. No more vaccines for BeBe, and my mission now is to educate all animal owners about the risk of overstimulating the immune system that may trigger this devastating disease. We feel very blessed and want everyone to know that there is always hope.
