Summary/Objective General Labor must be looking to progress within the mold making industry by completing in house training in a variety of different departments within a fast paced manufacturing environment. Essential Functions Be trained in basic measurements, assembly, safety, print reading, and many other manufacturing processes hands on experience working in a manufacturing environment. To learn all he/she can on construction of a mold. Receives practical experience in operation of a variety of CNC and Manual Machines, quality, safety, assembly, design, program management, benching, spotting, and mold tryout. Develop skill set with the latest machining technology Studies blueprints of product and mold, and computes specifications, applying knowledge of shop mathematics and metal or plastic molding processes and machinery. Sets up and operates machines, such as horizontal/vertical boring mill, CNC machines, and milling machines to machine outer dimensions and contoured cavity of mold. Verifies dimensions, using calipers, planer gages, and dial indicators. Have personal development through coaching and mentoring Be able to make a measurable impact. Have entry into an in-demand skilled trade. Follow and improve shop processes. Maintains adherence to company policies, safety/ergonomic standards, and good housekeeping practices. Other duties as assigned by supervisor(s). Required Education and Experience High School Diploma/GED Required. Passing score on pre-employment math test. Able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Demonstrates a high work ethic. Demonstrates proper safety and orientation. Willing to complete all scheduled rotations and technical instruction courses.
