Property Education : Many newbie property investors constantly ask me where to get started. Many dive in and spend £000s on property education without due diligence or knowing if they meet the criteria for BTL investments. Due diligence in everything we do is key. However, I am a strong advocate of networking - Network! Network!Network! Ask around. Do the free stuff first. Attend property meets/events. At some stage you will have to improve your knowledge however this should only be done once you have a grasp of the basics and you know who is who in the property industry. Books are a good place to start and I will publish a link (see next post)of a list of books put together by Susannah Cole of The Good Property Company.
