Prophet Austin Liabunya Assures Joyce Banda Mutharika’s ‘No Revenge’ Sentiment Is Genuine…Tells Her To Step Down Malawi prophet Austin Liabunya, has told outgoing president Joyce Banda to concede defeat to avoid putting her own live and lives of the citizens in danger. According to reports, Liabunya assured Banda said president Banda should not worry, it’s going to be okay for her as the President elect Peter Mutharika will not unleash revenge on her for the persecution he suffered under her rule. Liabunya who said Mutharika would not get the presidency if he fails to humble himself before God to hear what God wants him to do as a condition for the presidency revealed to this reporter that he finally met Mutharika where he told him what he was expected to do for him to get the presidency. Liabunya said Mutharika’s convoy led by his special aide Ben Phiri hunted for him and found him where they met in Area 10 in Malawi’s capital Lilongwe. The man of God told Mutharika that one of the conditions was for him to forgive and forget what Joyce Banda did to him of which Mutharika fully agreed not to unleash revenge on her once he takes government. The man of God also told Mutharika that God wants him to set an arm of government which will be helping the ministries of local pastors across the country to grow saying men and women of God in Malawi are facing a lot of challenges which are preventing them preaching the word of God. Pressing him to reveal the other points which he told him, Liabunya said he couldn’t because it was involving Mutharika’s personal life which he said must be respected. Malawi’s outgoing president Joyce Banda’s nullifying of the election results is believed to be deliberate ploy to prevent his enemy number 1, Peter Mutharika from ascending to the presidency. The idea is to make sure that she hands over the presidency to a lesser devil, MCP president Dr. Lazarus Chakwera and not Peter Mutharika whom she feels will not be at peace with once he takes over government. Banda perhaps believes that she will be persecuted for the looting of state house coffers which happened under her watch which the media dubbed as ‘Cash-gate’ scandal.
