Prophetic Release The glory of His anointing through the power of God, given to His submissive people. Just think if we believe this, how anointed we would be The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified. Lord give us the anointing we need to get the job done, before our God, Jesus Christ. Isa 61: 1-3 This is how you obtain this kind of power that will move demons and heal the sick. Through pure holiness of its greatest kind in the spirit of faith, believing in the Living Savior in a righteous human spirit, turning from all evil, from all evil, and becoming like God in nature, the nature of God is the spiritual way of our spiritual life will be in heaven, and this Spirit will rest on us here before we die. The tone now shifts again as Isaiah describe the future glory of Jerusalem. Zion, another name for the Holy City and chosen people of God, is called to awake (Isa 60:1-3) Still drowsy, she is urged to look and see the glory of fulfilled hope. Nations that persecuted Israel will honor her, and nature herself will overflow as God’s presence transforms not only the city but also her people. Now Messiah speaks, declaring again His commission to avenge and comfort God’s people (Isa 61:1-3). The land and its people will be restored to the glory she had, and everyone will know there’s a God in heaven, as God clothes a personified Zion in garments of salvation. Still sustaining a sense of assured joy, the prophet commits himself to pray for Zion until the predicted day of deliverance comes (Isa 62:1). For her restoration is assured, and every human spirit that believe in her, will be given power of His anointed, by the intrinsic power of her God. And so Isaiah foresees a great crowd of pilgrims approaching the Holy City. And the greatest wonder of all is that these people, the inhabitants of the Zion to come, will be called “the Holy People, for all will be redeemed by the Lord Jesus Christ, and the hand of God will come upon many in the end time, which means, a greater anointing will come from the presence of the Father. The future glorious of His kingdom in us: One of the most persistent themes of O.T. prophecy holds that at history’s end God will set up a kingdom on earth. Its capital will be Jerusalem, and from the Holy City, the Messiah, a descendant of David, will rule over all the peoples of our planet. This theme is seen here, especially in Isa. 60:1-61:6, and in many other prophetic passages. In the O.T.’s bright vision of the future the kingdom comes following God’s crushing defeat of evil and the great spiritual conversion which sweeps Israel and extends to the Gentiles. The following passages express the O.T. prophets’ vision of this coming glorious kingdom, but before this happen, a revival will hit the church globally like a tidal wave, and every apostle and prophet will be moved by God Almighty, and we will see signs and wonders like we have never seen before in these end times. Isa. 2:1-4; 4:2-6; 9:6-7; 11:1-16; 24:1-13; 32:1-5; 33:17-24; 35:1-10; 52:7-10; 61:1-6; 66:15-23; Jer. 31:1-27; 33:14-24; Dan. 2:31-45; 7:1-28; 9:20-27; Mal. 3:1-5; 4:1-6; Ezek. 20:32-44; 34:20-31; Hosea 3:4-5; Joel 2:28-3:2; 3:9-21; Amos 9:9-15; Obad. 15-21; Micah 4:1-5; Zech. 2:1-13; 14:1-21. The text says, “lift up your eyes and look.” If we simply look around us and see the present distress we may well be discouraged. But if we look up, or if we look ahead, the situation is very different. Everything around us is transformed by the certainty that God is near, as we can see the manifestation of His power in us, through the church, apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers, this will be a prophetic move of God. “The year of the Lord’s favor” (Isa 61:1-2) This messianic prophecy was quoted by Christ in the synagogue at Nazareth—but only in part. He closed the scroll after reading the proclamation of the Lord’s favor and made no mention of “the day of vengeance of our God” (see Luke 4:17-21). The incident is significant for several reasons. First, it was a public announcement by Jesus of Nazareth that He was the Messiah promised by the prophets. Second, it suggests two comings of Christ, the first to save, the second to judge. And third, it illustrates a difficulty in interpreting O.T. prophecy. Predictive passages typically make no clear reference to times and, as in this verse, may link events separated by thousands of years, and we all know this will be a future event prophesied by Isaiah the Prophet.
