Prophets wife Khadijah had died. So did his uncle. Year of sorrow it was called. Matters got worse for Prophet Muhammad. He faced deep torture. He went to Taif to give Dawah. Beloved prophet was around 51 years old. Leaders of Taif mocked our dear Prophet. Threw stones at him till he bled. The children even made fun of our beloved Prophet Muhammad. Yet Prophet Muhammad didnt say anything and left quietly. He was tortured deeply, hurt and abused by people of Taif. In frustration he made Dua to Allah. Begging for Allahs mercy. At his lowest most painful struggle he had no manpower or money or authority, nor did he desire that. As long as Allah was pleased with him. Allah sent an angel down who asked Prophet Muhammad if he wanted the two mountains surrounding Taif to crush the people. However, the Prophet Muhammad said no, leave them just in case they become Muslim, which they did. Such was the beautiful character of the best of mankind. He was patient and left a legacy in our hearts. When hardship hits, only desire pleasure of Allah. His mercy.
