Prossie Aliba has called me out to a seven day thanks giving challenge. Incidentally I believe Munanura Andrew Kamuteera called me out recently as well. I am calling out Watuwa Sheilagh Kirunda, Victoria Kobel Kirunda, and Amarie Kamusuguti to undertake this challenge. I also propose an amendment to the rules: we nominate new people each day. With Prossie Alibas permission, I will do just this. DAY ONE: 1. I am thankful for a loving, caring, loyal and patient spouse. She gets me. She bears with me. She spurs me on. She weeps with me, rejoices with me and above all, believes in me. 2. I am thankful for a business partner that believed in my dream and puts all on the line each day to chase the dream with me. 3. I am grateful for the opportunity to begin anew. Hard times have come my way and from them I have learned a great deal. But the strength to rise and pick up the pieces. That is divine. 4. I am thankful for divine provision. Not all days start or end with cash in hand. But I can say with David of old that I have not seen the righteous forsaken nor their children begging bread. 5. I am thankful for loyal friends. Friends who challenge me, who inspire me, who believe in me. With some we disagree, I have been unfriended before, some are kind enough to fight for me when I come under unjustified attack, others pray for me dearly and I know it. I know the pain of betrayal. But I tell you, the honey of true friendship is sweeter. And yes, I do believe the scripture that says better the kisses of a friend than the wounds of an enemy. I am thankful for friends of diverse persuasions but with whom I enjoy mutual respect. I pray that I will be as loyal and beneficial as my friends have been to me. 6. This one is going to be a constant on all the seven days. I am thankful for my relationship with God. He is the best friend I know. A Savior King in whom I find my refuge from the storms and uncertainties of life.
