Protecting your Imaan : The Respect and love for our Nabi Sayedina Muhamed Al Mustapha(Sallalahu alaihi wasalam) Asalaamu alaikum,Brothers and sisters,Yesterday I had been approached by a Muslim who possessed a very strange and different form of ideology with regard to the Nabi Syedina Muhammed Al Mustapha (Sallalahu alaihi wasalam). The remarks that had been made by this person is rather shocking and dangerous to any Muslims imaan and below are a few of these remarks.I have included a few Answers that a Muslim may use in order to defend both his/her imaan and the Proper Deen of Islam. 1.The First statement made was that We Sunnis have based our following of the Deen on the Creation of Allah (The Nabi Muhammed (Sallalahu alaihi wasalam) instead of the Allah the Almighty. Brothers and sisters please remember that Allah had said to the father of the Human race (Nabi Adam Alaihi salaam) that if it were not for His Habib Syedina Muhamed Al Mustapha (Sallalahu alaihi wasallam), Allah would have not even created Adam (Alaihi salaam).Ultimately, It is clear that The most divine creation is Your Prophet Syedina Muhamed Al Mustapha (Sallalahu alaihi wasallam)and that Nabi Adam (Alaihi salaam) himself had needed The Holy Prophet (Sallalahu alaihi wasalam) in order for him (Adam alaihi salaam) to be in existence so that he may live and Worship Allah the almighty. 2.The Second Argument that had been put forward is that the Nabi of Allah (Sallalahu alaihi wasallam) is Dead and this is why he cannot hear your Salaam Upon him and this is why the angels have to take your durood and salaam and present it to him. Lets understand this,In accordance to the Sahih Hadith it is stated by the Nabi of Allah (Sallalahu alaihi wasalam)Whoever sends their salaam to me, their salaam is received and indeed I Reply to his salaam.By this Hadith it is clear that Your Nabi(Sallalahu alaihi wasalam) is Alive because Firstly He(Sallalahu alaihi wasallam) has Promised this to you and future The Nabi of Allah(Sallalahu alaihi wasallam) has said I speak by the command of Allah. 3.The third Argument was that We should follow the great Sahaba (the companions of the Nabi (Sallalahu alaihi wasallam) because they are right and they Know That the Nabi of Allah (Sallalahu alaihi wasalam) is dead and that he was a normal human being just like you and I. My brothers and sisters Please always bear in Mind that Allah Has Perfected The Nabi(Sallalahu alaihi wasalam) and by no way will we ever be able to be Equal to him as The Holy Quran has stated Wa ma arsalna kah illah Rahamatul lil ala meen.Allah says We have sent him as a Mercy Upon Creation which implies that we are in need of His Mercy and Shifa. Secondly,as recorded by many Ulema, Syedina Wa Moulana Umar bin Khatab (Radi allahu anhu) had repeatedly said to the people of madina on the 12th Rabi ul awal the day on which the Beloved Nabi(Sallalahu alaihi wasalam) had physically departed from this world that whoever would say that the Nabi (Sallalahu alaihi wasalam) is dead, He himself would behead them(cut off the head of this person) so clearly the ideology of these people(introduction paragraph) are not in accordance of the Companions of the Beloved Nabi (Sallalahu alaihi wasallam). 4.The fourth Argument was with regard to the celebrating of the Moulood of the Nabi (Sallalahu alaihi wasalam) and that it is haraam (Not permissable in Islam. In Accordance with the Holy book of Allah the All Mighty, Allah says He had saved you from the blink of Destruction, As mentioned above, Allah also says in the holy Quran We have sent him as a Mercy Upon creation, The Nabi(Sallalahu alaihi wasalam) has Said My birth is good for you and my death is good as well.So logicaly it is valid to celebrate the Birth(Moulood) of the Nabi(Sallalahu alaihi wasalam) as we are grateful to Allah for granting us mercy by sending to us our Nabi Syedina Wa Maulana Muhamed Al Mustapha(Sallalahu Alaihi wasallam). 5.A very common Invalid argument that is made is the last one which is with regard to Sallah(prayer) and ibaadath being all that a Muslim requires to gain Jannath. My dear brothers and sisters beware that the attainment of Jannath (Heaven) is not solely based on the excessive Sallah that you perform because if one were to understand the history of Iblees(The shaytaan or the devil), you will understand that He was once the Leader of Angels whos sole purpose was to Worship Allah the Almighty, yet even after he had worshiped Allah like no other(some narrations speak about millions of years),He was still cursed and thrown out of Jannath.So why didnt his excessive ibaadath save him at this point in time? , Which leads me to my conclusion..Iblees (The Shaytaan) had been removed from the Heavens and cursed for All eternity because he had displayed Disrespect to Nabi Adam (alaihi salaam), What will be the condition of the person who displays Disrespect to the One whos Blessed Name granted Adam his forgiveness for Disobeying his Creator, The one who has said I was a Prophet when Adam was still between Clay and water, The only one whom Allah himself speaks to with respect by saying Ya Ayuhan Nabi(Ayuhan is a term used in Arabic literature to speak to someone that is in front of you with respect), The one whom Allah has made it compulsory to send salutations upon in your Sallaah (during Sallaah in tashahood one has to recite - Salaamu alaika Ya Ayuhan Nabi)(The conversation between Allah and the Nabi (Sallalahu alaihi wasalam) on the blessed night of Lailatul Meraj)..What will be the condition of these people that disrespect the Nabi of Allah (Sallalahu alaihi wasalam). My dear brothers and sisters,in no way is the above literature an attack onto anyone,However it is to inform you that the times we are living in are extremely dangerous as the Respected Hazrath Moulana Fazul Rahman Ansari (r.a) had said The old world was a world of Faith and the New world is a world of doubt May Allah through the Blessings of his Unmatched Prophet the Nabi Sayedina Muhamed Al Mustapha(Sallalahu alaihi wasalam) instill into our hearts the divine love our Nabi(Sallalahu alaihi wasalam). Please forgive me if I may have offended anyone in anyway but remember this is the way of your Awlia and your Mashaikh (saints of Allah) and to love them is to love whom they loved and to live by the example that they have lived. - Muzzaffar Ali Chisti Sabiree
