Protection Services Senior Superintendent Operation Band 6 - Amandelbult Functional Centre - Internal and External Anglo American - Limpopo Protection Services Senior Superintendent Operation Band 6 ANGLO AMERICAN PLATINUM, AMANDELBULT FUNCTIONAL CENTRE, INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL VACANCY The role: The Senior Superintendent role supports the Protection Services Manager in an Operation within the Anglo Platinum Group to manage resources and investigate breaches of security. The role needs to initiate and manage appropriate systems within the Unit to minimize risks relating to the security of employees and assets, and provide mentorship to subordinates. Interpretation of HR policies and procedures, as well as legislative requirements for effective interpretation and delivery. The time frame of work is 1 to 2 years but some plans will be on a longer timeframe. It should be recognized that this role could lead to company and personal risk in its activities Technical work responsibilities: Expert in Protection systems and processes CIA Control Discipline and grievance handling Criminal investigations Legislation relating to Protection Services on the Unit Surveillance Asset protection Cash/bullion transfer management Human Resource management Budget control Business planning Community relations Resource managing Quality assurance Risk control Health and safety (and NOSA) auditing SARS auditing Core work outputs: Effective management and expert support for the implementation of best practice protection services systems and practices within the Unit Good employee relations Good internal and external stakeholder relations Effective administration of relevant systems Effective management and expert support for the implementation of best practice Protection Services Systems in the Unit Required abilities. National Higher Certificate qualification related to protection services (RPL will be applied with regards to short courses and experience) Registered with PSIRA At least three years security supervisory experience (or five years SAPS experience or equivalent) Experienced in crime investigation and protection services best practices Competent in functional systems used in the organization Fire arm competency certificate Project management skills Code 08 Drivers license Medical bureau certificate Computer literate for role (Related SAP modules and MS Office environment) Physical Requirements: · Certificate of Fitness Additional Information: Anglo American Platinum shall apply the Employment Equity principles as set out in Anglo Platinums Employment Equity policy.
