Protest against VIP Culture At around 9am today, margalla road was blocked for VIP movement. I was observing the situation from the other side of the road.People were honking car horns and after waiting for around 30 mins, one person came out of the car followed by many other people. They blocked the road which had been cleared for the movement. When the first route clearance car was blocked by the protestors the vip movement was shifted to another route and margalla road was opened. I have just come to know that this was our Prime Ministers convoy who was going to PAF Base in E-9 via Margalla Road but due to protestors blocking the road, his convoy turned from Faisal Chowk (can be seen in the background) and used some route inside Naval Base. You can see that there are no cars park on the road, despite the fact that there are schools and offices on this side of the road, as the security forces dont allow people to park their cars whenever there is a VIP Movement. Even on this day the roads were cleared by 8 am and no one was allowed to park their cars, despite the fact that PM convoy was to pass after 9 am. I would like to add one more thing. This protest was not against any specific person. We would have done this even if roads had been blocked for Imran Khan, Asif Zardari or COAS. We are not specifically against Mian Nawaz Sharif, we are against this VIP culture. We are against this abuse of power. If these VIPs have to move in this manner, we prefer that they stay at their homes and not cause trouble for thousands of people. #GoNizamGo
